Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 July 2026. By creating an account, installing the agent, or using asteria.run, you agree to these terms.
1. Service
Asteria provides a Windows honeypot / deception agent and a cloud dashboard (“Service”). Features differ between Standard and Premium plans as described on Pricing.
2. Accounts & access
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secret.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and linked agents.
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or violate law.
3. Acceptable use
You may only deploy the agent on systems you own or are authorized to protect. You must not use Asteria to:
- Attack, scan, or deceive third parties without authorization
- Store or process unlawful content
- Interfere with the Service or other customers
- Reverse-engineer the cloud for competitive cloning beyond what law permits
4. Agent & host responsibility
The agent opens decoy network listeners and may apply firewall rules you request. You are responsible for local policy compliance, change control, and verifying that decoy ports do not violate your network rules. Review Security before production rollout.
5. Plans, billing & refunds
Paid plans renew according to the interval you choose. Seat counts and included servers are as shown at checkout. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated at purchase. Cancel anytime to stop future renewals; access continues until the paid period ends unless otherwise stated.
6. Intellectual property
Asteria, Deception Cloud, and related marks and software remain our property (or our licensors’). You get a limited license to use the Service during your subscription. Client source/binaries are provided under the license accompanying the GitHub release.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is.” Deception reduces risk but does not guarantee prevention of breaches. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asteria is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of data/profits arising from use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim.
9. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service and uninstall agents.
